2021 Underclassmen Portraits
Original Portrait Dates: October 5, 10, 12, 17
Make-up Portrait Dates: Dec. 7
Student portraits for grades 9, 10 and 11 will occur on October 5, 10, 12 and 17. Each student that would like a portrait session must sign up for an appointment. The sign-up for the Dec. 7 sessions can be found here.. All health protocols are in place for these appointments
Students will leave their portrait session with a school ID for the 20-21 school year. To order a portrait package, you will need to contact Lifetouch Studios for a proof sheet and your session ID. You can contact them by calling them at 1-800-445-1189 or they can email @email. For anyone who orders a portrait package, the package will be mailed directly to the home.
We are not able to use last year's photo for any student for inclusion in the 20-21 yearbook. If a student would like his/her portrait to be included in the yearbook, printed on an ID and uploaded into StudentVue, the / she will need to attend one of these appointment sessions.
All photos will be taken in the Auditorium.
2021 Senior Baby Ad Purchase
Parents / guardians are invited to purchase a senior baby ad for their graduating senior. This is an entirely optional. All seniors ads are due no later than Oct. 1, 2020. This is a firm deadline and the materials must be at the school by this date, not postmarked by this date. The order form can be found here.
2021 Senior Portraits
Original Portrait Dates: Aug. 19- Sept. 1.
Make-up Portrait Dates: Nov. 5, 6 and 9.
Students who did not attend an appointment for the original portrait date will be mailed an appointment card from Lifetouch / Prestige Studios. The appointment card has a unique code assigned to each student and directs them to prestigeportraits.com to schedule the appointments. You have to make your own appointment on this website once you receive the card.
Safety protocols are in place and senior portraits are happening! Before you read about the rest of the details, please rest assured that Lifetouch / Prestige has taken measures to put safety protocols into place to align with both FCPS and the Health Department.
Any student who will be a senior in the 2020-21 school year will need to have a senior portrait taken by Lifetouch / Prestige Studios. If you do not have a senior portrait taken by Lifetouch Studios 1) you will not be featured in the senior section of the yearbook and 2) you will not have a JMHS school ID.
If you were enrolled as a student at JMHS by July 15, 2020, you should have received an appointment card The original portrait dates were set for August 19- Sept. 1. If you registered at JMHS after July 15, you will need to call the studio to make an appointment at 800-445-1189.
Up to three days prior to your appointment time, you need to complete this health questionnaire. If you answer yes to any of these questions, you will need to reschedule your appointment.
The yearbook staff cannot accept a senior portrait that is taken by any studio other than Lifetouch / Prestige. Each senior portrait is processed in a very specific way by Lifetouch for inclusion in the yearbook. Other studios do not have the capacity to do this, although they may tell you they do. If, for whatever reason, you have not received notification from Lifetouch Studios, please call them immediately to set up a senior portrait appointment at 800-445-1189.
JMHS does not handle any of the details for these portraits, including the appointment times, pose selections, etc. For any question pertaining to senior portraits, please contact Lifetouch Studio at 800-445-1189
All senior portraits must be taken, by Lifetouch Studios, by Nov 15, 2020. If a senior has not had his/her portrait taken by the date, he/she will not be included in the senior section of the yearbook. This is a firm deadline.
Safety Protocols Established:
- FCPS is directing that Senior Portraits be taken in clothing that the student wears or brings to the photo session and NOT shared garments supplied by the photographer ( drapes, tuxedo jackets, etc.).
- Each senior will receive a packet of information from the studio office. Included in this packet will be a pre-scheduled date/time for their senior portrait session. Appointments are scheduled so we may limit the number of students arriving for photography. Seniors will need to confirm their appointment on our www.prestigeportraits.com website. We also encourage portrait session payments to be completed online to minimize physical contact at the camera
- The photographers have completed training to offer ‘No-Touch’ posing. Going forward, social distancing will be implemented, and photographers will not make any physical contact with customers, subjects and other employees. Our staff must maintain a 6ft distance from subjects, customers and employees. Additionally, our photographers will be wearing masks.
- The photographers have been equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitation products to properly clean and disinfect equipment after each session. Photographers must complete checklists before, during and after each session to reinforce our commitment to ensuring a safe and positive photography session
2021 Yearbook Purchase
The order center is open and ready to take orders for the 2020-2021 yearbook! To order online, visit www.yearbookordercenter.com. Our school code is 5307. This allows you to pay with a credit card. If you would like to pay by check, you will need to print this order form and mail it to the printer.
2020 Yearbook Purchase and Pick-Up
Yearbooks were distributed on July 7 and August 4. If you pre-ordered a yearbook and did not pick it up, you can make arrangements with the Main Office to pick the book up by calling 703-319-2300. If you did not purchase a yearbook and wanted to buy one, there are no longer any extras left for sale. Extra books were sold on August 4 and were sold out on that day.
Check this list to see if you have purchased a yearbook. This list is hosted in FCPS Google and parents will need their student to log-in to access the list. Parents cannot request access to this list, for security reasons.
This list was updated on June 23 and is the final sales list for the 19-20 yearbook. Yearbook sales are now closed. If your name is not on this list, you have not ordered a yearbook. The school does not handle the sales of the yearbook, the yearbook vendor does. If you have a question about your sale, please call Herff Jones directly, as the school will not be able to answer your question. You can call 1-866-287-3096. No yearbooks will be sold locally at the school once they arrive.
No yearbook will be mailed home. If a student is moving out of the area, he will be responsible for having a friend pick up the yearbook and mail it to him. A written note needs to be provided for anyone to pick up a yearbook on someone else's behalf.
