The mission of the JMHS mathematics department is to provide an educational experience where students can develop a strong mathematical foundation and come competent users of mathematics and mathematical applications. The department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become lifelong learners and apply their mathematical thinking in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens.
