Students' Process

All students will receive an overview of the Academic Advising process during Advisory on Tuesday, January 9. Students should plan to enter their initial Course Requests in their StudentVUE accounts no later than Friday, January 26.  Course requests are not finalized until students meet with their counselors; entering initial Course Requests helps counselors prepare for their meetings with students.

Students will also be able to attend an Electives Showcase during Warhawk Time (WT1 for 9th grade; WT2 for 10th and 11th grade) on January 11.

Current Madison students will be meeting one-on-one with their school counselors to finalize their course selections on the following dates:

  • 9th Grade (Rising Sophomores): February 29-March 13
  • 10th Grade (Rising Juniors): January 29-February 7
  • 11th Grade (Rising Seniors): February 8-February 28

Students will be notified of their specific date for a meeting through their Advisory on January 9.

Rising 9th Graders will participate in a presentation with JMHS counselors at their middle schools.
