Class of 2021
Due to the upcoming building renovation, the school will be losing a large number of parking spots; however, we should still have enough spots for seniors since many are remaining virtual, and those returning will only be in school two days a week. Seniors must use this SENIOR ONLY parking form to sign up for a spot so that we can coordinate the sharing of spots on different days. This form is only accessible through student accounts, so seniors need to login with their fcpsschools.net account to complete it. There will be no charge for parking this year.
Senior dues are now available through myschoolbucks.com (preferred) and can also be paid by check, made out to James Madison High School (JMHS) and dropped off at Door 1 or mailed to the school. Please include the student's t-shirt size in the memo line. Senior dues have been reduced to $50 for this year. This will cover graduation expenses, cap and gown, diploma and diploma cover, a senior t-shirt, and senior class activities, such as the drive through senior breakfast. If we are able to have a graduation in a large venue, senior dues may need to be adjusted.
We are still committed to having an in-person graduation ceremony for our seniors. Where that will occur is still to be determined and whether we need to hold multiple ceremonies will depend on Covid restrictions. The published date for our graduation is June 1, and we will push hard to have our ceremony(ies) on that date, but we cannot guarantee that at this time. We will communicate with you the moment that we have firm plans for graduation.
If you have not already done so, please complete the Class of 2021 Graduation Information Survey by Friday, Feb. 12 in order to ensure proper graduation gown sizing.

Prestige Studio, a branch of Lifetouch Studio, has worked with the Health Department and FCPS to put safety protocols into place to be able to proceed with senior portraits. Out of an abundance of caution FCPS is directing that Senior Portraits be taken in clothing that the student wears or brings to the photo session and NOT shared garments supplied by the photographer (drapes, tuxedo jackets, etc.). All members of the Class of 2021 will be mailed a card with directions on how to sign up for an appointment date. Please be on the lookout for this appointment card. Portrait dates are set for August 19-Sept. 1. Three days prior to the appointment, the student needs to complete the Health Questionnaire found on this page. If the answer to any of the questions is yes, the student will need to reschedule the appointment. Information on the safety protocols that have put in place to facilitate a safe portrait process can be found here.
