FCPSOn Student Laptop Pick Up - Students at Madison High School will receive a school-issued Dell laptop as part of the FCPSOn initiative. There is no fee associated with school-issued laptops this school year. Please view the following link for dates and times for laptop pick up and sign up for a time - FCPSOn Pick Up Information (Sign-Up Link). Students will enter door 9 (in the back of the building by the Wrestling room / Warhawk Hall) and proceed to the Aux Gym.

Senior Portraits - Session B Senior Portrait sign-up times are available at this link. JMHS is using a new vendor this year, Victor O’Neill Studios. 


**Sessions are scheduled one at a time. Our third and last session date is currently being scheduled for early November. You will receive another announcement from the school when the next session is available for booking** The attire for the yearbook photo will be in the traditional Tuxedos and Drapes. We will provide the Tuxedo and Drapes. In addition to the yearbook session, we also offer sessions that include casual/personality portraits and cap and gown portraits. If you have any questions please email @email. Students will enter door 9 (in the back of the building by the Wrestling room / Warhawk Hall) and proceed to Warhawk Hall.

Parking Permit Pick Up for Seniors - Seniors (and their parents) who requested a parking pass through this form will receive an email detailing how to pay for their parking pass and next steps. The application form for seniors closes August 7th. Seniors may pick up their pass from 12 - 2 p.m. each of these days at Door 11. They must have proof of payment through MySchoolBucks (printed or emailed receipt or screen shot) and an ID to pick up their parking pass. The parking passes will be issued first come, first served with the Senior lot going first, front of the building next, and then the Junior lot. The availability of Junior parking passes will depend on how many spots were assigned to seniors. Information on Junior parking will be sent by email to all Junior families the week of August 8th-12th.

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Flight School Parent Program - The JMHS school counseling department will introduce freshmen parents to Madison High School and what to expect freshman year. This event will take place in the Auditorium.

August 18, 2022

6:00 a.m. - Student Schedules go live in StudentVUE - All students will be able to see their class schedule in StudentVUE and 9th and 10th graders will see their locker assignments as well. Juniors and Seniors who would like to request a locker may do so by completing this form, and they will be assigned lockers the first week of school. StudentVUE can be accessed here. Students log in using their FCPS username and password.

9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - New Student Orientation - This is an opportunity for any new students (grades 10-12) to become better acquainted with the building and what to expect entering Madison this school year. A general overview will be presented as well as self-guided tours. Student leaders will be available to answer questions as well as guide new students through the building.

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Freshman Flight School (Orientation) - This is an opportunity for the entire freshman class to receive information to help them get prepared for their transition to high school. All freshmen should attend even if they participated in the Madison Bridges program as they will be paired with their upperclassmen mentor for the first time. A variety of lessons and important information will be shared by our student mentors during the program. Please visit our website for more detailed information on Freshman Flight School

3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Student Open House - This is an opportunity for students to walk through the building and meet their teachers. We will have mentors and other staff available to assist students in finding their classrooms.

3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Fall Kick-Off - This is an opportunity for students and parents to learn more about specific Madison information and Activities, drop off medications with the Clinic, join the PTSA, purchase spirit wear, etc.

8:10 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. - First day of school - Please see the JMHS Bell Schedule.

August 25, 2022

5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. - Senior College Planning Presentation - The JMHS Student Services team will cover the details of the college application process for parents of seniors. This event will be held in the Auditorium. 


5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) Family Welcome Program - families are invited to meet key members of our ESOL Department.


6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Back To School Night - Parents are welcome in the Auxiliary Gym starting at 5:15 p.m. to join the PTSA, purchase a yearbook, buy spirit wear and much more. Teachers will begin their introductions in classrooms at 6:00 p.m. and the night will end by 8:00 p.m. Parents will follow their student’s schedule through the evening and have an opportunity to meet each of their student’s teachers. Parents are asked to view their students’ teachers videos ahead of attending in-person Back to School Night. Please consider carpooling as parking will be limited this evening.

County Fair/Pyramid Night - The County Fair will be held prior to the Home Football Game vs Stone Bridge. This event will encompass a new tradition of inviting our Pyramid School students, faculty, and parents to attend. The event will be a celebration of school and community with a variety of activities and games for all ages. More information will be provided closer to the date.

SAT/PSAT Day - All Seniors will take the SAT Test at Madison.


All Juniors and Sophomores will take the PSAT Test at Madison.


All Freshmen will participate in a VIRTUAL/ASYNCHRONOUS Career 

Development Lesson. FRESHMEN will not be in the building on this day.


The SAT/PSAT tests will be provided at no cost to students.
